The body and mind, both need to relax so that they feel revitalized. Starting with ten minutes of relaxing per day and working up to half an hour will help you overcome overwhelm. Find a quiet spot and breathe deeply while keeping your mind free from all thoughts. The more you relax, the easier you will find it to overcome overwhelm as your limbic system will attain a good amount of oxygen to calm down.
Once your body and brain have relaxed for a while, reassess your priorities and re-evaluate your actions. Reassessing can be done by writing as it helps in occupying the left part of the brain. The right and left hemispheres of the human brain must be engaged enough to make well-rounded and healthy decisions. Writing down your priorities before deciding on the actions required to complete them can help in renewing the mind.
Your spirit, mind and body must be realigned with a bigger picture of your life purpose. Meditating or praying can make a significant difference. Since everyone is created uniquely, you must align yourself with your own unique priorities as well as purpose of life and the ‘overwhelming feeling’ will slowly fade away.
The left side of your brain must be engaged again by making a plan and committing to the new system or new structure that will allow you to focus on your priorities and complete them effectively. If you have many things to do, you must prioritize them in order of their importance to your life goals and purpose. Restructuring your priorities will make it easy to complete your tasks in time while making it simpler for the mind to deal with the situation.
Both the right and left hemispheres of your brain are actively involved in course-collecting as you make an attempt to move forward in orderly fashion. Once your intentions have been reset regarding the activities that will take you closer to your goals at a quicker rate, you can begin to give yourself the permission to tap into your creativity on a daily basis. Tapping into your creative self every day can provide considerable help in resetting your mind regularly.
You may tend to add an increasing number of unnecessary activities to your schedules. Examine them so that your creative ideas have a chance to flow and help get you back on track. Unimportant activities can be avoided and tasks that invite productivity must be performed to help renew your mind.
Overcoming overwhelm is possible by getting conscious with regards to the thoughts that you allow to play in your mind. Keep away from negative emotions and start focusing on the positive ones to keep your mind fresh and healthy.
